Wesley Glebe - Wes & Gold
My rings are made of mixed metals, titanium being the primary one of exploration. The designs are process-driven. Other materials are platinum, 24K and karat golds, stainless balls, diamonds, and rubies. In 4 years I have developed over 500 designs and I view these as a collective process.
Artist Statement
My work is inspired by materials and process – what I participate with is the limitless “What if...?”. Daily fabrication is often overwhelmed by the staggering number of emerging new designs. In a nutshell, when my creative efforts are excited by exploring materials and process, there is no work; every moment becomes quest management.
Before I was beamed down and raised by wolves, there was only the monotony and rigor of outer galactic travel – now the major issue is keeping myself intact. This is quest management – a balance of creative euphoria and a pragmatic level of control.
